I dunno, but I don't like being like this.I haven't written anything since I saw some fellow on a furry message board call my writings "absolute crap".Granted,I know I'm not a novelist. But can't I at least try to do something halfway decent?

Today is Father's Day.However, due to the fact that I never had kids of my own and my own Father passed away some two years ago now,it kind of leaves me feeling a bit odd.I keep wondering if not setting down with woman, getting married and starting a family was the right decision.I am a person who doesn't like to do what is expected of them(a non-conformist rebel of sorts),so for a long time the idea of having a wife, home & 2.5 kids(one of each sex according to the ideal American Family) repulsed me.I wanted to do my own thing. While I did get the home and the steady job,I didn't have the family.I guess that now that I'm hitting middle age(I'll be 44 in two weeks),I start to wonder what life would have been like to have been a father.Oh,well.I guess I'll just play the hand life has delt me and see where I end up.

In case anyone wonders, yes I am still alive and well. These past few months have just been a blurr for me.Between work and home,I haven't much time to do a lot online or elsewhere. Now that summer is coming,I hope that will improve for the better. In other news,My black lab/New Foundland cross dog Bailey is finnally coming down a bit(neutering helped a bunch). He still likes to chew stuff(like my newspaper this morning!) but he's not going aorund the house trying to be bad like he used to be.I plan on starting obedience classes with him in a few weeks,so that should take care of him for the most part(I hope!).I got 4 tons of wood pellets for my stove delivered and put away last week as well as filling up my oil tank and having the furnace serviced.I know it sounds odd to do this kind of thing now,but with the price of both oil and wood pellets on the rise,I really couldn't wait any longer. Not sure if I will be able to go anywhere for my vacation this year, due to Bailey's classes and my budget being kind of set.Plus,I really should do some body work on my truck. The bed is getting surface rust on the sides and needs to be ground down and re-painted.That will take a some time to do,and I really should since I have put this project off for a couple of years now.Well,we shall see what happens I guess.
